Using big needles, simple stitches, and chunky yarns (or a combination of all three), each of these 21 creations works up in a flash and requires only a few days, even hours to complete. From a 3/4-sleeve cotton pullover and a cabled tank to seed stitched mittens and retro tube socks, you’ll find something for everyone. The book’s convenient, compact format allows it to be stashed in any tote, so you can take advantage of every available knitting opportunity. Squeeze in a sleeve during a country ride or a scarf between the football game and dinner. This illustrated collection of portable quickknits is ideal for any knitter on the go!

1 Star Patterns Missing Crucial Information
I borrowed this book from our local library and was interested in the Teen Tank but was frustrated to find that the pattern omitted the quantity of yarn required. Considering that the yarn proposed is quite expensive, “guestimating” the required yarn is not a feasible option. Just glad I borrowed instead of bought this book.

3 Stars Not Bad
This book wasn’t wonderful, but it wasn’t terrible, either. Quite a few of the patterns were hideous– as a teenager myself, I can assure you that no teen would wear the “Teen Tank”, for instance. Also, most of the projects were knit in horrible colors. However, I liked the two scarf patterns, the mittens, and the sleeveless shell. I recommend getting this book from the library before you buy it.

1 Star Disappointing-Projects are not attractive
I love the Vogue Knitting books but this one was a real disappointment. The projects may be quick and easy to knit up but they are clunky and not very appealing. I only found one project in this book that I would consider spending time making and that was the bag on the front cover. The rest of the book was basically useless.

4 Stars Great for quick projects
I just got this book a couple days ago and there are alot of great projects. Everything can be made in a short amount of time. You have at least one project for every member of the family at any age ranging from booties, a baby blanket, toddler clothes, a tank for your teenage girl, a sweater for the guy, and some great items for the 30ish old female - love the fringed cable belt. The yarns are a bit expensive, but it’s so easy to sub another yarn. Everything is labeled either easy or intermediate, but more are on the easy side. I also have the Chunky Knits book, and will probably work from Weekend Knits more often.

5 Stars Great Book for Recycled Crafts!
I LOVE the Creative Juice show so I picked up this book and I really liked it. I am working on the bottlecap jewelry! :)

5 Stars Creative Juice Offers Great Ideas for the Beginner and Veteran Crafter
I am truly a fan of the Creative Juice TV Show and am just wowed over by the book. The pictures are fantastic and the instructions are clear enough for the beginner. The way Cathie and Steve take objects and recraft them into pieces of art, play, etc. amazes me, a veteran crafter. I love the chapters with kids ideas and easy to make jewelery. I will put them to use very soon as my grand daughters are coming to spend some of the summer with me. I have downloaded directions to many of the Creative Juice projects and now it is so great to have great color photos of the how-to’s. Anyone who likes to craft or wants to begin to craft needs to buy this book!!!!!!
